Even if the summer holidays are here and many of you will be heading to (or have just come back from) summer universities, the activity in The AEGEEan is not stopping! There are many of our projects ongoing this summer, and you can take part in them!
Nominations for Local and Member of the Month
As you might know, every month we award an AEGEE local and member as the Local and Member of the Month, and we are currently looking for the LoM and MoM of August. Do you know about some AEGEE member that has performed very well in this past month, or a local that has had an outstanding achievement?
The rules are very easy, and you can find more information on how to nominate them under this link!
We will accept nominations until July 31st, 23.59 CET.
SU Story of the week
The AEGEEan wants to reward the locals who made the extra effort and organised a great summer university. How would The AEGEEan know so without attending? Through reading the articles! The Summer Universities articles submitted for The AEGEEan will go through being nominated for “SU story of the week” – and thus the different team members of The AEGEEan have their own opinion on why they vote as they do then there is no doubt that what was being valued was: high quality pictures, focus on the thematical part of the event, great stories, good organisation, well-written and more.
This year there will be 10 Summer Universities that become “SU Story of the Week” over the summer and later The AEGEEan and The Summer University Coordination Team will choose the best SU Story of 2014 to be awarded at Autumn Agora Cagliari.
If you would like to write about your SU and take part in the SU Story of the Week project, please contact us at aegeean@aegee.org telling us the name, mail and local of your chosen journalist!
Picture it (or it didn’t happen)
Ever heard the saying “Picture it, or it didn’t happen”? That is the idea behind a new initiative from The AEGEEan who each month will be collecting photos from the Network of the activities you have been doing.
The pictures can be anything related to what AEGEE members have been doing across the past month and we really hope that you will contribute with photos from your meetings, events, exchanges, trips etc.
All you have to do is send us your picture and the following information:
* Who took the picture? (first name, surname, antenna)
* When did the activity take place? (Date)
* Who were involved? (Participants)
* 4-5 lines about the activity (What did you do? Why did you organize it?)
We will start by collecting pictures of activities that have taken place in June and July 2014, so please send us your contribution no later than August 15 to aegeean@aegee.org. We are looking forward to receiving your pictures!
